KAi - the shark explains the bathing rules

Summer, sun, wonderful water time!

Under the motto "KAi - the shark explains the bathing rules", Karlsruhe's swimming pools aim to sensitise pre-school children to the subject of bathing rules and convey a feeling of safety when going swimming. Unfortunately, a lack of swimming skills, a lack of sun protection, insufficient hydration in summer and carelessness repeatedly lead to swimming accidents and heat-related emergencies.

KAi - the shark, the life-size mascot of the Karlsruhe swimming pools, comes directly to the pre-school children in the kindergartens with a bulging swimming bag full of surprises and illustrative learning material to teach children correct behaviour in the swimming pool or when swimming in the lake or sea. Small movement games loosen up the bathing rules. The children are actively involved in the learning process with an exciting story in which KAi - the shark experiences a bathing adventure. In this way, learning and fun are playfully combined.

At the end, KAi - the shark can of course also be stroked and cuddled and is available for a souvenir photo. The event is free of charge for all organisations. It is particularly suitable as preparation for a visit to the pool or a trip to the stream or lake.

Interested daycare centres and kindergartens can register directly at monika.kolbe@ka-baeder.de or call 0721 - 133 5211 if they have any questions.
